Politics and stuff in my opinion

Good almost afternoon!!!
Gosh, it feels like forever since I've posted a blog.
I'm sitting here at my desk where I have all my little encouraging things on a vision board in front of me and to the side is a digital photo frame, that was given to me by one of my dearest friends, that has a rotation of photos I love.  Pictures of family, friends, pets, and special days.
The busy month of may has gone and June is stressful with taxes due, doctors appointment, health insurance ending, and drivers ed for the youngest.
But I'm choosing to stay in peace.
I have complete faith that the month will all work out with God's help....just watch.
Hopefully July will be a little more gentle with us.

I think everyone is a little nervous about the world right now.
I keep seeing political post that are stretching truths and causing people to fear the future.
Our new president is trying to run the country like a business, because that's what he does, and is changing things around that make it look like we're losing many securities for people in need, children in school and the environment.  So many other things are going on and being said to confuse people and make it hard for our country to move forward.
I feel like, if it doesn't come from a reliable news site.....don't believe it...don't post it......Get your facts before you get so upset.  Posting it just fuels hysteria and hate when it might not be true.
If it's true....post away.  I find our country falling into two categories lately, the very rich and the barely making it.  Working hard doesn't mean you will be able to take care of your family and I think something needs to be done about that.  People should be able to survive on one income if they work a full time job.  A mom or a dad should be allowed to raise their children.  A single parent should be able to support his or her home.  Education should be free and there should be online education options for children who live in places where they don't feel safe in school or need to catch up.
Teachers need to teach in teams, children need safe GOOD education.
Everyone should have affordable insurance and affordable healthy food available to them.
No more chemical food.  Cooking clean healthy food should be a new fad but it's too hard when two people work to support a family. Picking up junk at a fast food place is so much easier and cheaper.

Everything comes down to money.  But the sad thing is that the money always goes to those who already have more than enough.  The poor person uses a credit card with high interest to pay bills, buy food, or pay for gas.  The wealthy person get's the high interest.
The poor person has to go on medication for illness caused by food that is toxic.  The wealthy person sells the toxic food and gets a fortune from the poor person for the medication, while they eat organic healthy food cause they can afford it.
The person with the little house that has a hard time paying property tax gets a scary letter that they could have a foreclosure, while the giant thriving big business coming into town gets a tax break for bringing their company here.  Then...they use that tax money the person sold everything to scrape together or charged on a high interest card....to buy ugly park benches for $2000 a pop.
Huge amounts of money, spent on stupid things while hard working people can't afford to pay their bills and eat clean food.
Each day I choose to wake up, pray my prayers, and go into my day with God by my side.
Obama care caused my insurance company to drop my family.  We've never been without insurance.
I realized that we spend over half our income on insurance of one type or another.  That's just crazy.
I see people who work 70 hours a week to survive....for what?  They get to spend only a few waking hours with their family.  Is that what God put us on this earth for?
Not me.  I'm gonna grow my garden so I have clean food to eat.  I'm going to raise my 6 hens so I have clean eggs to eat, and I'm going to work hard to manage the home we salvaged and restored with recycled everything, drive my old cars, wear my thrift store clothing, and enjoy my life.
It's all hard work.  I probably work close to 70 hours a week also....but I'm doing what I love at home caring for my family.
I hope our country changes.  There is so much hate and fear and illness out there.
God Bless
shannon
