It's a beautiful cold day. Freezing temperatures are challenging me to keep plants alive in the garden and water thawed for the chickens. Yet, Gertie the duck swims in her little pond even in the cold. I have a duck in the bathroom and two frizzle babies in a cage next to the duck. The wood stove is cranked and Harry Potter, movie number 3, is playing on the DVD player. My Son Taylor will be home from Italy this week and I'm thrilled about that. Gracie our new puppy is still a cutie although is proving to be a challenge to potty train due to excited tinkles. But Brinkley is being a great big brother, helping me to teach Gracie, and peanut is being peanut. The mailman didn't seemed too happy when he asked me if I got a new puppy. Poor guy. My dogs bark at him like they are going to eat him. It is a new year. A blessing, a fresh start, incentive to improve.....and yet the bible says "EVERY DAY" is new.
