Christmas

The Christmas season is here. I love it!!!
I love the music, the food, the decorations, the shopping, and the celebration of it all.
I absolutely LOVE tradition.
I guess the only thing I don't care for about Christmas is the business. It's going by so fast because I'm always running from one thing to another. I don't like being busy. I love my home and time vegging out with my family. I try to make the house look as nice as I can, though it's unfinished. I put on the Christmas music and light up the decorations. I have the wood stove going if it's cold. I love when it's cold. I light the candles to try and make it smell nice. I have Christmas tea to drink, egg nog and ice cream to eat and spiced cider. We have st nick bring treats on the night of the 5th of december so the stockings are filled on the morning of the 6th. We open one gift on Christmas eve and the rest Christmas morning. We usually have Bruce's family on Christmas eve, our personal family Christmas morning and sometimes my family on Christmas day. I kinda miss having Christmas at my grandparents houses and getting to see all my cousins, but things have to change when grandparents pass. I remember my grandfather singing by the organ while my grandmother played whatever song he told her to. Very cool.
I would love to have Christmas last three months of the year. It just feels like people love on other people more at this time of year. Maybe not all people, but quite a few.
I think the meaning of Christmas gets lost a bit, but it's still a wonderful celebration of Jesus' birth even if people don't realize that's what's being celebrated. :P
There is a warm fuzzy feeling to Christmas that people get and don't realize it comes from God. I think that's pretty cool.

To all those friends and family who have taken the time to read my post.
Merry Christmas!!!
I pray God blesses you and your family this Christmas.
Love to you all.
Shannon
