It's Friday!!!!!

Trying to explain, to one of the twins why the bad stuff always happens to him, isn't easy. I just tell him that God has a plan for him, and maybe he needs him to learn a few things from his experiences. It's hard when your kids, for the most part, do the right thing but bad things still happen. I think I have pretty good kids, but wow how different they are.

I'm so glad it's Friday. I think I'll do laundry and work on some crafts. Last week I sold a large Santa and a large Angel Doll. That was wonderful and couldn't have come at a better time for us financially. I also have some sun glass cases at a shop in Gruene called "Simply Chic" at Gruene Lake Village. I also have a bunch of my designs at "Maldonado Nursery".


I pray it rains soon. The deer that sleep on our property, with all their little babies, are ravenous. We give them water, cracked corn, and deer pellets, along with watermelon left overs, day old bread and anything else we think they will eat. Some of the mamma's look worn out. We have one young buck who only has one horn. Poor thing looks so odd.






Every morning I have to go through the house to collect socks. Maggie goes into the laundry room and takes socks from the pile to carry around the house. She drops one and goes to get another. While she carries them she howls. It so funny to watch. She loves to help me while I sew. Although she's not much help.




This morning the dogs were playing tug of war with one of Justin's socks. Not sure that sock survived.

Several years ago I read something that really made sense to me. I can't remember where I read it or what exactly it said but it talked about how saying the words "I am ......." before some value that you wish you had.  It was explained that, in doing so, it could change your subconscious thinking.   We all have so many thoughts running through our heads at any given moment and I would guess that not all those thoughts are positive.  If you are a woman, then you probably have many more thoughts running at one time than any man would.  Most of us have high expectations for ourselves, so every imaginable self criticism comes to mind and runs on a continuous loop in our heads. Todays thoughts

I've been listening and reading about a new fad in Christianity that has become very heart breaking for me personally . It seems there is a growing number of people who don't like what they call the "institution" of the church. You know what? Church is not perfect and never was. That's why there are so many letters in the bible to churches telling them what they need to change. It's not going to be perfect but that doesn't mean we walk away. What concerns me about great Christian people who give up on the church experience, is that, in giving up and only gathering with a small group of Christians, they are losing the experience of fellowship with people that have no other place to go. Christians who need loving people around them on that Sunday morning, to help get them through the week.
