Living Life Beautifully

 What a pretty day outside.  I can hardly wait til the weather cools enough to work in the garden.  It's such a mess. I'm watching a humming bird getting nectar from the flowers on the front porch.  Such cool birds. When we walk the garden they will, sometimes, fly right by your head.  It's the strangest sound. Yesterday was a good day.  Bruce didn't have any work to do, so he spent the day with me running errands. His job is very seasonal and intermittent.   It's a challenge during this time of year.  It gets really stressful during the down season.  Add the fact that we are usually the least important bill for people to pay, and it can make for a very difficult time of it.  But God seems to always provide just enough for us to make it through. We had Maggie's appointment yesterday and found that the cyst on her shoulder was just fluid filled and nothing serious.  That was such good news...

It's Tuesday!!!! It's a cloudy day but still a beautiful one.  Bruce doesn't have any work scheduled for today, so he's going to hang out with me. We have our Maggie vet appointment today and a couple of Alex pick ups and drop offs. Praying Maggie checks out ok and the large lump on her shoulder is nothing but ugly.  Everyone has that one animal that is their baby and she is mine. I found some time and energy to cut out 5 doll bodies yesterday.  Now I just need to sew and tea stain them before I can stuff them out.  I don't make my dolls as often as I used to.  They're a lot of work but so cool to make.  Each one has such a different look to it.  I was trying to think of how many I've made.  I have pictures of all but one. I know I've made more than 40, I think.  Each year I would make a few and keep my favorite.  Since we've lived in this house, I've only made  maybe 10 total and kept one santa.  That's probably bee...

Good Morning! It's cloudy outside.  My second cup of coffee is brewing and I'm sitting here considering my day. And....now it's raining. I love rainy days, although our 109 year old tin roof leaks.  :/ Ok, now it's stopped raining. Gotta love three second rains.. Today's chore list doesn't exist yet.  The bills need paying, the kitchen is a disaster and there are two very full hampers that need their clothes washed.  But...lets just pretend that's not the case and imagine I can do whatever I want today.  What would I do?  I would probably go thrift store shopping.  But then I would bring in all this stuff I don't have room for.  I'm a really good thrift store shopper.  Our entire home is full of thrift store finds.  And when I say full...I mean FULL.  But pretty.  ;) Church was great last night.  The message was so good.  We spend about an hour practicing music before the service and that time always seems to g...

  Good Afternoon! Today is the day of rest.  My body is telling me it doesn't like me, after helping my husband mow the property yesterday.  My sinuses have gone on strike from all the grass dust.  And....my husband was the grumpiest man on the face of the earth yesterday.  I finally had to stop and say, "all right MR...you being rude!"  Ok...he just walked in and saw me type that.  Darn, now he's going to read my blog. Good morning!!! Day 4 of blogging.  Aren't you just so excited? I doubt this is read by more than, maybe, one person...my husband.  Oh no wait...  He doesn't read my blog.  You know... I could say anything I want on here and he would never know.  I could complain and say he looks funny, or whatever I want!!!  Of course.. that would probably be the one day he reads it. Good morning!!!  Three days, in a row, of blogging!!!!!  And yes....I do this for my own amusement.  Seriously, I sit around this house doing chores every day all day long.  A mommy house lady with no people around all day....will talk to herself after a while.  And any of you who know me....  KNOW I can talk.  I'm shy until I know you and then you can't shut me up. My husband told me that today is topless day.  I'm not sure where he learned that.  Did he think that, by telling me, I would strip of my shirt and do my chores topless???  CAUSE THAT AINT HAPPENIN!!!!!  That would not be pretty, AT ALL, at my age.  And....he would be horrified if I did.  He loves to make the joke, but we are both so modest even at home.  I should shock him one day.  He would look so uncomfortable and then we would both laugh and laugh....and I would take the saran wrap off and put my pjs back on.  :D I'm not sur...

Good morning again.  :) I am on my second day of writing in my blog and my second day of feeling good. My body isn't sore and I don't have the crazy fatigue today.  Yay God!!! I got about 3 or 4 hours of sleep last night.....   :( But....I'm in good spirits, the sun is shining, God has blessed me with enough of what I need and my family is happy and healthy.  What more can I ask for. Yesterday I went out to run errands.  I hadn't been out of the house since the weekend, so it was a nice break to just drive around and look at things.  I get to drive in Taylor's car while he's away and it's a nice zippy little thing that I love to drive.  Bruce showed up to help me at the grocery store, at about 6, to finish out the day.  Yay Bruce! Good morning!!! It's beautiful outside.  You can feel fall around the corner, which I am so thankful for because it was way to hot this year. The deer are all walking about eating the fresh greens from the recent rain.  They are so much fun to watch.  Our resident momma deer has two babies with her.  She cares for both as if they were her own and will even nurse them both.  One is her newest little doll and the other is a grandchild.  She's such a good momma.  Every year she takes on two babies.  She's wonderful at managing the property and chasing off anyone she doesn't want around, especially if they try to eat her food.  When I go into the garden, to collect produce, she will wait at the gate for the blemished tomatoes that I toss out.  The babies are so much fun.  A week ago one of them fussed out loud like a baby would fuss at someone taking a toy.  It was either because kiki walked by and was too close, or because it sa...
