All kinds of fun stuff
Good Morning!
It's really beautiful outside. We've had rain for a few days and cooler temperatures.
I was even able to open my windows and enjoy the fresh air until late last night when I started getting an allergy attack. Ha! But it's worth it.
I woke up this morning to a mess of clothing that Maggie carried from Alex's room. She was a busy little Bee. I bet she got her 10,000 steps in.

This picture is of the things she's brought me just since I've been typing. :/
After putting away her little collection, I made my coffee, told my husband bye and I'm sitting at the kitchen table blogging and watching butterflies fly all over the garden. The resident rooster is crowing. His little chicken lungs are getting stronger. They still come by to eat each day. I've asked the hens, nicely, to lay me just one egg, but no luck so far.
Yesterday my husband took on the project of converting my old cassettes to digital. It's hard for me to do myself because most of the tapes have my sweet friend on them who passed away and it makes me miss her. One of the cassettes he converted yesterday made him laugh, so he played it for me. It was Gina, Legh, and me, goofing off and I think Crystal is also in the background. We were all giggling and I could still tell who's giggle belonged to who. Then we decided everyone should sing a song. Gina sang a short Christmas song and it was so sweet to hear. I thought about it all night.
We used to laugh because she loved singing but couldn't do it well. It didn't stop her. Gosh I miss her.
The other night I heard a loud noise on the front porch that got me out of bed to investigate. When I turned on the porch light, a large opossum was eating Kiki's food. It was so cute and fluffy from the rain. I had thought that it might be a opossum, in the wall of the house, making all the noise, but that one was way to fat to fit. Whatever is in the wall has moved to the attic and runs about like it's having a fun time of it. Bruce think's it's a squirrel. I even sent Greta under the house to see if he would catch something, but he just got lost after a while causing me to go into the garden and open part of the tin skirt to get him out. LOL! You gotta love Greta.
Speaking of Greta....
He chose my cupboard to sleep the other day. Bruce walked into the kitchen in the morning and the door to the cupboard was open with Greta's rear sticking out. He was sleeping on and in my cups.
Today....he is in a mop bucket right next to the table in the kitchen. A few days ago, he was in my trashcan after I dumped it. I had to do without my trashcan for two days. Bugged the heck out of me, but I didn't have the heart to remove his safe place.
Yesterday my youngest came home from school and had donated blood. His dad and I were SHOCKED. If you know my youngest, you know that he doesn't do things like that. I could have melted I was so proud of him. It made my day.
Yesterday, I also made a vision board. I was watching that show, "the secret" on Netflix and I thought of what an interesting idea it was. I made it pink. This will not surprise anyone who truly knows me. On the vision board you write down or pin up things you want from life. You envision what you want your life to look like and you put it where you can see it every day.
So far my vision board has hopes for higher income, health, losing weight, success in a few endeavors and helping my husband to enjoy staying home instead of wanting to go do fun stuff by spending money. :D
The idea is to keep your mind focused on good things so you attract good things.
I remember testing the theory once before, when I was searching for a book I had as a child. I gave up after a few years. Funny thing though.... I now have that book.
So....I'm gonna try this again. :)
I've been trying all kinds of things to feel better and this last week was great. I was normal for the first time in so long. I take so many supplements and eat and drink certain things and move my body more, and it's finally starting to kick in. But....... I'm at my highest weight I have ever been, and NOTHING I do helps me to lose weight. It's frustrating. I don't know what to do next. I don't want to undo the progress I've made. Kinda stumped.
The other day I decided I wanted to try and grow sprouts. So...I went online and researched what I needed to do and in my pantry I had some things I could try. I grew sprouts out of lentils. It was so easy and so much fun to watch.
Yes Sir! I Rock!!!
Crazy easy and I add it to my salad.
