Whatcha doin with your day?
Today is Wednesday.
It's incredibly humid outside but the sun is out and it's still so pretty.
I've already had a busy day.
We have a pond that lost all it's fish a month or so ago due to frogs....I think.
So we cleaned it out and put in new fish. Well, for the past two days the frogs have been mating in the pond and kill at least two fish each time. Then, I have to go out and pull the strings of tadpole eggs out, take out 20 % of the water and refill. This has been two days in a row.
I love frogs. But the one that was run over in my driveway last night did not make me sad.
The pond is so pretty when little fish are swimming around.
I also found out today that the chickens love bananas and watermelon.
Bruce is still working on the hen house and we pray we can make it safe so nothing can get in to hurt them. Maybe we can finish it this weekend so they can have some stretching room. They are getting a bit big for the coop they sit in each day.
My house looks very disorganized at the moment. It is in need of tender love and care.
I'm just not in the mood to tenderly love and care for it. I should at least clean the floors.
There is so much stress in the world right now. And then, of course, it's may. It is the busiest month of the year other than Christmas, maybe. End of school programs and graduations fill the calendar.
My last child will be finishing his senior year and I will be done with that. How liberating.
Our country is going through some drama that makes it hard to watch the news. I wish things were not so hard. We lose our insurance next month because our company can't afford to cover what Obama care tells them to cover. The replacement that Trump is talking about doesn't sound much better. I think we are between a rock and a hard place. The government wants to make a good plan for the people, but the insurance companies can't take on the cost.
People need to start eating healthy, but healthy food is expensive.
Children are learning that fast food is todays generation of food.
They don't want to take the time to cook. Our already growing epidemic of illness due to bad food is going to get much much worse and people are not willing to make the changes needed until they are already sick. It would be good to have tax incentives for people who grow organic gardens, grow trees, raise chickens, and recycle....along with other things. Our property alone cleans so much air due to the hundreds of trees we choose not to cut down. That should get some tax credit.
We really need to make changes in the world if we want to keep it going and leave our great great grandchildren with a blue sky.
Ok....
I'm going to start with one room in my house and make it beautiful and clean.
Who's with me.
Ready...set....GO!!!
Hugs.
Shannon
