This glorious Texas weather during the month of August seems to always be hot and dry.

So... I am in my new chapter....
In this new chapter of my life I've been working with motivational teaching.
There are so many videos of speakers who have great ideas for improving the mind.
There are so many tools to work with.
The coffee I drink has been great with taking away my pain during the day.
It gives me energy and focus, so I have the ability to do so much more and a good
mood to go with it. I should call it my magic coffee.
Coffe coffee coffee coffee...….COFFEE!!! (me singing)
One thing I read was that you should focus on what you want and you will get more of that.
If you focus on what you fear, you will get more of that.
I also learned that with all the counseling and work that I've done on myself, my family can take me right back to that old person. I begin to act automatically out of memory instead of growth. My phone calls with my dad make me cry every time. Why?
It is the only time I lose my strength.
According to my boundaries book it says your family members are able to send you back to old patterns just by their presence. I think it's because you love them... So you want to be there with them no matter what happens. You turn back into that person they want you to be.
I must work on that. I have such strength now.
Did you know that your brain can not tell the difference between what you vividly imagine or what you actually experience? So if your in a negative space, mentally or physically, it can impact your health.
When I was little I was bullied a lot. I had stomach issues because of it.
Every morning my dad would wake me up and I would feel nauseous from nerves.
If anything bad happened or made me nervous, I would get sick.
I was making myself sick just by thinking of my fears.
So how do you change your mind set?
Well, think about it right now. Your sitting or standing somewhere reading this.
What is your posture like? Do you look happy, sad, tire, successful?
Can people see your mood by looking at your face?
When you talk to others, is it negative in nature or positive?
When you wake up, do you dread it or do you remind yourself of the things your grateful for?
I've learned that it takes a mental, emotional and physical shift to change your attitude.
Attitude is the difference maker.
Friday mornings my husband and I do a radio show together. It is too funny.
This last week we taste tested giant marshmallows and stuffed the entire thing in our mouth.
It was hilarious and we were in tears laughing at how we couldn't speak.
When was the last time you laughed like that?
It's good medicine.

Not sure what my plan is for the day. Laundry is a must. I should clean the kitchen and do something fun. Hmmm..... So many possibilities.
