Day one of my overhaul

In an effort to look and feel less worn out. I decided to put a bit of time towards maintenance, like you would a car. Although I can't change the battery or overhaul the engine like I would like, I can at least use decent fuel and maybe a thick coating of wax. :)
I stopped by the store and picked out something to get rid of the gray. (It didn't work as well as usually due to the fact that I bought non permanent color instead of permanent). My fault for not reading the box fully and only going with the lovely picture on the front. So I'll have to hit that one again in about a week. Sigh...
After "washing that gray right outa my hair" I dumped a blob of conditioner on my head, worked that in and rolled up the length of it on top my head and clipped it in place. I then scrubbed down my face with apricot scrub, rinsed that off and applied a green face mask. I looked like an oompa loompa. My husband wanted to take a picture and post it on facebook. I said no. He knows better than to go against me on that one. I can get even rather successfully.
So...everything is rinsed off and out of my hair and I'm all clean and lotioned up. I take pretty good care of myself, but I guess it's not enough at this lovely new age of 40. So I'm going to try to do better.
My goal is to eat better, move more, stretch every day and try not to stress.
The boys are in the kitchen cleaning it up and I'm sure Taylor will want to make the spaghetti. I only had grapenuts, and green tea so far today. That's pretty healthy, right? I'm gonna hang out in my bedroom and watch a movie for the evening. There isn't anything I need to do that can't wait until tomorrow.
My ankle is healing well, although I've been on it quite a bit today, but I'm walking almost normal. I pray it rains tomorrow. We sure could use the rain.
I hope everyone has a wonderful relaxing evening.
Hugs
Shannon
