Why do I look so worn out?
I woke up this morning, hit the shower and started getting ready for church. In the last month or so my hair has started turning grey.
As I was putting on my makeup and running through my vocal warm ups I noticed how worn out I look. I can see it in my face. I look as if I've aged 10 years.
When I got to church the service was about "worry".
I think it was exactly what I needed to hear. It was a GREAT message that you can hear online (once they get it posted) at http://www.firstprotestant.com/ under the contemporary service list for 3-27-11. I'm sure it will be up by the early part of this week.
If I were to rattle off my worries you would probably throw something at me. I won't bother you with the details except to say the economy is hitting us very hard.
Then add all the regular stuff and it's no wonder I'm a nut case.
I need to take better care of myself. I'm not sure how to go about that when your doing the best that you can. When my foot is totally healed I need to get more exercises to help with the stress. I need to eat healthy, although I don't think I'm eating too bad at the moment, but I really look worn out.
Bruce and I have cut back on some of our responsibilities to see if it will help, and it has, but now we have Alton in the nursing home for rehab and other things that have filled the blank spots. I take my meds and my vitamins every day. I rest when I need to. I haven't had many bad days, emotionally, in a while, but I still look like a truck has rolled over me, backed up and rolled over again. :)
